Who we are
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Pragte (“Pragte”, “we”, “us”). They apply to pragte.com, every site published on a pragte.site address or on a domain connected to Pragte, the Pragte editor, its live controls, and anything else we provide (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, publishing a site, or buying a plan, you agree to these Terms. If you use Pragte on behalf of a business, you agree to them for that business too. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who can use Pragte
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account or buy a plan.
People who visit a site, answer a form, upload photos or leave a message (“visitors”; at an event, your guests) do not need an account. When visitors use a site, the site owner’s choices and our Privacy Policy apply to their information.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at hello@pragte.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the actions of collaborators you invite and of anyone you give the live controls to.
Early access
Pragte is in early access, and we keep adding features. A plan gives you what it includes on the day you buy it. Features we add to that plan afterwards come to your site as well, at no extra cost, for the time you bought. Features may be available to some people before others and may change as we learn. We will not charge you for a feature that is not available on your plan when you buy it.
Your projects and content
You own your content. Words, photos, videos, designs and anything else you add to Pragte (“Your Content”) remain yours.
To run the Service we need permission to handle Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, resize, display and deliver Your Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service for you. This includes showing it to the visitors and collaborators you choose. The licence ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except for copies in backups that expire on their normal schedule and anything you have already shared with others.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to use Your Content, including photos of other people, music you add to a site, and fonts or images you upload.
Visitors and what you collect from them
Your site may collect information from visitors, such as names, form answers (for a wedding, RSVPs, meal choices and dietary needs), messages and photos (“Visitor Content”).
- You decide what to collect. You are responsible for asking only for what you need, and for telling visitors how you will use it. Where privacy law applies, you are the one who decides why the information is collected, and we handle it on your behalf.
- Uploads. Visitors who upload photos give you and Pragte permission to store and display them on your site and in your gallery, and give you permission to keep them. You can approve, hide or delete any upload.
- Moderation. Uploads and messages can be moderated from your live controls and your dashboard. We may also remove Visitor Content that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy.
Plans, payment and publishing
Designing, previewing, publishing and sharing a site on Pragte are free, with Pragte branding. A published site has no expiry date on any plan, and you can edit it at any time. It can be public or protected by a password you share with your visitors. Drafts can be shared before they go live with a preview link that needs a password.
- Free plan. You can have one published site at a time on the free plan and keep up to 20 sites in your account, with 100 MB of storage shared across your account. A site with a paid plan does not count toward the one published site.
- Paid plans. Essential and Keepsake are one-time purchases for a single site. They keep the site from counting toward the one published site of the free plan, now and after the paid time ends, and let you connect a domain you own and set the site’s own icon, both without expiry. They do not renew automatically, and we will never charge you again without asking.
- Time-limited extras. For a set time from the day you buy (3 months on Essential and 12 months on Keepsake), the Pragte branding is hidden, the site can be listed in search engines, each form reply is emailed to you (you can switch this off), and it has more storage for visitors’ uploads: 1 GB on Essential and 5 GB on Keepsake. We show the exact end date before you pay. The time starts on the purchase date and does not move if your event date changes. To extend it, buy another 3 months (Essential) or 12 months (Keepsake) at any time; the new time is added to what is left.
- Form submissions. Submissions to your forms, such as RSVPs, have no time limit. They are kept until you delete them, or until you delete the site or your account.
- Storage. When storage is full, new uploads pause until you extend, upgrade or remove files.
- AI credits. The AI in the editor runs on credits, per account. Free credits are given as described on our pricing page. A pack of credits is a one-time purchase; bought credits do not expire and are used after your free ones. A refunded pack takes its credits back.
- Payments. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Prices are shown before you pay and include any taxes we are required to collect, unless we say otherwise.
- Upgrades. You can move a site to a higher plan at any time. We will show you the price before you confirm.
- Refunds. Our Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back.
We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects a plan you have already bought.
When the time you bought ends
Your site returns to the free plan’s features. It stays online, with no expiry date, and you can keep editing it.
- Branding returns. A small “Made with Pragte” appears on the site.
- Forms keep working, as on the free plan, but replies are no longer emailed to you. Search engines stop listing it.
- Your domain and site icon stay. A domain you connected keeps serving the site, and its icon stays, until you remove them.
- Visitors’ photos. They stay as long as your account’s uploads fit the free plan’s 100 MB. If they go over, only what goes over comes off the site and out of your account: uploads you never approved first, then the newest. We tell you beforehand how much is over, so you can choose what to delete instead. We may be able to restore removed photos if you buy again, but we do not guarantee it. The images in your own design are not affected.
- The rest stays. Your design and your form submissions, such as RSVPs and messages, stay in your account for as long as the site exists.
- Buying again. You can buy Essential or Keepsake again at any time, at the current price. A new period starts on the purchase date, and you are not charged for the time in between. The branding is hidden again and the time-limited extras return.
If Pragte ever closes. We will give you at least 90 days’ notice and a way to download your site and everything in it.
We do not delete a site because it has been inactive, on any plan. A site is removed only if you delete it, if you close your account, or under “Suspension and closing your account” below. You can delete a project yourself at any time.
Addresses and domains
Every project gets its own Pragte site address. We give you the right to use that address while your project exists, but the pragte.com and pragte.site domains and their subdomains remain ours. We may change or reclaim an address that is misleading, infringes someone else’s rights, or impersonates another person or organisation.
If you connect a domain you own, you remain responsible for it and for keeping its registration current. If you buy a domain through Pragte, the registration is also subject to the terms of our registrar partner, which we will show you before purchase.
Templates, creators and professionals
Some people use Pragte to design templates for others: template sellers, designers, planners, venues and agencies (“Creators”).
- Creators keep their designs. A Creator owns the templates they make. When a customer claims a template, Pragte makes a private copy for that customer. The Creator’s original is never changed.
- What customers receive. A customer may use their copy for their own site or event and change it as they like. Customers may not resell, share or redistribute a Creator’s template.
- Creator responsibilities. Creators must have the rights to every font, image, graphic and piece of music in a template they share, and must describe their templates honestly.
- Selling elsewhere. If you buy a template from a Creator through Etsy, Gumroad or another marketplace, that purchase is between you and the Creator under the marketplace’s terms. Pragte’s plans are bought separately unless the Creator has already paid for your plan.
- Professional terms. Additional terms, such as pricing for Creators and agencies, will be shared before you agree to them.
Live controls
The live controls on your phone, and your site itself, depend on the devices and internet connection where you use them, such as at an event venue. We cannot control venue equipment or networks. Please test your setup before the day. Pragte is not responsible for losses caused by equipment, power or connectivity at a venue.
Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: do not use Pragte to break the law, harm or harass anyone, share content you do not have the right to share, or interfere with the Service.
Pragte’s rights
The Pragte name, logo, editor, software and the parts of the Service we create belong to us and our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to use our brand, except to say truthfully that your site is made with Pragte.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using Pragte and delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing hello@pragte.com.
We may suspend or close a site or account if it breaks these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, puts visitors or others at risk, or if the law requires us to. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem and download your content first. If we close your account without a good reason under these Terms, we will refund the unused part of any paid plan.
Third-party services
Pragte works with services such as video platforms, maps, music, payment and domain providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Pragte running smoothly, especially on the days that matter most. Even so, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error free, and we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Pragte will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer where you live.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against Pragte because of Your Content, Visitor Content you collected, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Pragte grows. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use Pragte after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Disputes and governing law
If you have a concern, please email legal@pragte.com first. Most problems can be solved quickly and informally.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Pragte is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
